Developer Terry Cavanagh reveals the source code of the game VVVVVVV

VVVVVVVVV author Terry Cavanagh announced the release of his source code on the 10th anniversary of the game’s release, the code was released on GitHub, with the VVVVVVV Source Code License v1.0 license, open source is levels and text, and materials such as graphics and music are not open source. Footage is available for free for personal use.

VVVVVV was originally a Flash game, and the open source code contains two libraries, one simon Roth’s 2011 version of the desktop ported with a re-written version of C? that was updated and maintained by Ethan Lee, and the other with Actionscript for Mobile version written by Adobe AIR.
