A new report frommedia outlet letsgodigital suggests that Sony appears to be about to launch a borderless phone, and it’s unclear whether the design will be used in this year’s Xperia phone. The latest patented publication on WIPO’s global design database reveals this borderless phone design, in which the front camera is located in the center of the screen (punch-hole screen).

Sony is expected to launch two flagship products at the MWC 2020 in Barcelona from February 24 to February 27, according to Letsgodigital.

As can be seen from the latest images, Sony has patented the design of the borderless phone, which has a 21:9 aspect ratio and a much smaller frame than last year’s Xperia 1 or Xperia 5. The patent shows that Sony has achieved a borderless design with a hole-in-the-wall screen, and similar displays have become increasingly popular since the Galaxy S10 series adopted a punch-hole screen.
