The specific selection method selects 10 winners per year for each sub-field, with a total of 2,000 in the next 10 years, and each year, the top 10 scholars are selected as the most influential scholars in the field, referring to citations for papers published in the most influential conferences and journals in the field over the past 10 years. Other scholars in the top 100 were nominated by AI 2000’s Most Influential Scholars.

According to Tang Jie, a professor of computer science at Tsinghua University and founder of AMiner, a total of 1,128 in the United States and 171 in China, the world’s most influential scholars (200) and nominated scholars (1,800) are on the 2020 list. , the EU has 307 people on the list.

Men make up the majority in all fields, with 1,663, and women are rare, with 175. Among them, the proportion of male scholars in the field of machine learning was the highest, at 98%, and the proportion of female scholars in the field of human-computer interaction was the highest, but it also accounted for only 24% in the field.
