In April last year, Elon Musk revealed that Tesla would run a fleet of robotic taxis that would make money for owners during its idle phase, media reported. Tesla’s taxi app is part of the plan. Now Musk has taken the plan a step further, showing a video of a Tesla Model 3 talking to pedestrians on his personal Twitter account. Model 3 can be seen urging pedestrians to get on the bus.
The video shows the car saying, “Don’t just stand there and stare, get in the car.”
Musk has promised to have 1 million robotic taxis on the road by 2020, each generating a gross profit of up to $30,000 a year. It looks like Musk will have to make fairly quick progress on the FSD in the next 12 months if he is to achieve his goals.
