Google is adjusting Google’s search, but this time not with the search algorithm but the look of the search results, media reported. Following a similar change on mobile devices last year, users of desktop clients are now expected to see this change. The Ads tab on the adjusted search results page will be bolded to make it more prominent. In addition, the search results page displays the site icon. To do this, the site administrator can choose which icon to display in the results.
Google says the new look will put the site’s brand at the forefront and at the center, which will help searchers better understand the source of information, scan the results more easily and decide what to search for.
It is reported that the new interface will be pushed to desktop client users this week.
