Which computer is best for you? How much memory do you need? What ports are needed? When choosing a new desktop or laptop, we tend to fall into the dilemma of self-doubt. Now Microsoft has unveiled a new tool that will help you find the perfect PC for you.
Microsoft promises to use the tool to help users “find computers that meet their needs.” All you need to do is answer questions about the purchase budget, the purpose of the purchase, and provide a series of suggestions based on your answers.
The tool has six questions, the first of which is, “What are you primarily using your computer for?” (Games, work, etc.) and then display “What do you want your computer to do?” (Choose from the options to run games, video editing, with LTE connections), followed by “How do I connect things to a computer?” (Choose the port you know you need or are not sure).
Next, you can choose which screen size is right for you and indicate which of the nine major brands you’re interested in (or specify that you don’t have a preference). The last question is “what’s most important” and you can say the most important things from features and performance, connection options, and screen size.
Later, you’ll get a list of systems that meet your needs, including a purchase link and options to compare the right computer specifications.
