One of the big things about the Android ecosystem is that Google’s core applications don’t rely on major updates to the operating system, as other mobile operating systems do, but receive regular updates throughout the year. However, it is not uncommon for functional changes or random disappearances without warning. For example, a user recently reported that a notification message sent when the app was successfully updated no longer appears on the Display Store’s notification bar.

In fact, shortly after the 17.4 release went live in early November, users noticed that the Play Store was no longer providing notification of the success of the update, and there were a lot of complaints on both Reddit and OnePlus forums.
After testing, several guys from themedia Android Police confirmed that the same is true of the 17.6.19 version of the Play Store (as shown in the GIF motion picture below).
When you click the Update button on Google Fi, the Play Store signals that the app is being updated. However, there is no notification of the app’s Update Completed when the operation is complete.
In addition, Google’s official support, Reddit, Android Central and other forums, there are many users using manual updates in the slot.
Speculation that the change might be a notification bug rather than a new feature led to an inquiry with Google. Now it seems that the problem has been solved.
One user reported that after updating several apps, the update’s completed notification finally came to sleep, followed by several missed notification messages. From now on, everything should be back to normal.
