Release of the third generation Beoplay E8 TWS: compact, continuous battery

Bang and Olufsen have just released the third-generation Beoplay E8 wireless headset, which is not only more compact in design, but also greatly improved in battery life. The headset body offers a 7-hour battery life, plus a portable charging box for 35 hours. By comparison, the previous generation was only 16 hours old. The receiver box features a USB-C charging interface and supports wireless charging (a feature introduced last year).

This year’s new features include support for Bluetooth 5.1 and AptX standards. The third-generation Beoplay E8 true wireless headset is further enhanced by the comfort of wearing it, b&O said.

Unfortunately, the new additions to the B.Amp;O still lack support for active noise reduction (ANC) functionality. Last year, Apple introduced the feature on its $249 AirPods Pro. The headset is 4.5 hours long, plus the charging box for 24 hours.

The Beoplay E8 true wireless headset retails for $350 / 300 pounds , the same as last year’s second-generation product, which goes on sale on February 14, the company said.
