Huawei Updates HMS Overseas Terms of Service: Push Ads and Other Information

Some Huawei phones are not pre-installed with Google services due to the “physical list” issue. While users can install manually, Huawei is also considering the spare tire it needs from time to time, known as THE HMS (Huawei Mobile Services). According to MSPs, a Huawei phone with a pre-installed HMS service has been updated with personalized advertising in the “restrictive terms” of the “terms and conditions”.

The terms state that the Huawei Advertising platform will retain users’ personalized data for one year at servers in Hong Kong and Singapore. If the user agrees, Huawei’s advertising platform will also push the relevant ads based on geographic information. In addition, user data from Egypt, Mexico, India, Korea, and Pakistan may be stored on the corresponding local server.

Of course, from the terms of the service content, mainly for overseas users, domestic EMUI 10 and the follow-up system will or when to make adjustments, it is not known.
