According to Barclays analysts Blayne Curtis, Thomas O’Malley and Baylie Harri, the iPhone 12 will use an “upgraded” front-end TrueDepth system, the new Face ID. The new TrueDepth system is supplied by Dunnan Technology Co., Ltd.
At the same time, the report notes that the iPhone 12 Pro’s rear camera will support 3D sensing technology based on ToF technology. In terms of configuration, the iPhone 12 Pro will run with 6GB of RAM and the iPhone 11 Pro has 4GB of RAM.
Finally, analysts also believe Apple will formally abandon the Lightning interface in 2021. This means that the iPhone will not have wired EarPods headsets in the box.
