While some people may not buy cooking oil directly, soy oil may be a common element in the diet, according to slash Gear, amedia outlet. This oil is widely used in restaurants and fast food restaurants, as well as in processed and pre-made foods. In addition to insulin resistance and diabetes, the oil is also associated with a number of health problems, according to a new study from the University of California, Riverside.

The potential negative effects of soy oil on human health are not entirely new – a 2015 study by the same team found that the oil can cause obesity, insulin resistance and diabetes in mice. Later, they also found that the effects of oil on these serious symptoms could be mitigated by reducing the amount of linoleic acid in the oil.

However, reducing the amount of the compound does not prevent soy oil from having a potentially negative impact on neurological disorders, including depression, anxiety, autism and even Alzheimer’s disease, at least in mice. The researchers found that the oil affected the hypothalamus region of the brains of mice fed on a high soy oil diet, including an improved version of low linoleic acid.

The study showed that eating soy oil appeared to have impaired the ability of about 100 genes to function properly in mice. One of these genes is responsible for oxytocin, a hormone most commonly referred to as the “love” hormone between humans and people. These changes are only related to soy oil, but are not related to other soy products, such as soy milk or other cooking oil.

The researchers noted some limitations related to their findings, which were limited to male mice. Other studies involving female mice are necessary to understand how these genetic changes affect things such as maternal binding that are closely related to oxytocin levels. Similarly, it is not clear which compound in the oil has this effect.
