F-35 Fighter Logistics Information System to be replaced by new system

Lockheed Martin’s F-35 fighter jet uses a serious problem with the Computer Automatic Logistics Information System (ALIS) and will be developed by Loma in December 2022 for another system, The Operational Data Network (ODIN) Replace.

ALIS is designed for the day-to-day operation of fighter fleets, from mission planning and flight scheduling to repair and regular maintenance, as well as component tracking and ordering.

ALIS has been blamed by the military for the lag, and the U.S. Government Accountability Agency said in a report late last year that an air force agency estimated that an additional 45,000 hours a year would be required because ALIS did not do the right job.

The new ODIN system will be cloud-based, delivering aircraft and system performance data in near real time.
