Samsung is reported to be launching a new generation of folding screen smartphones in February 2020. Combining known leaks and revelations, Dutch tech blog LetsGoDigital pondered what it might look like. First, a source close to it said the new folded phone will be used in the Galaxy Fold Z or Galaxy Flip Z. Second, the new machine is expected to be unveiled at the Unpacked launch along with the Galaxy S20 series of smartphones.

Yesterday, a new photo appeared on the Internet. But apart of the words “Galaxy Z” and the ability to fold into “Z”, the reporter didn’t reveal much.
To support the Z-shaped folding, the machine screen has two equal-proportional lines, which are said to have been filmed in the office garden of Samsung’s test environment.
Previously, we saw a series of leaked images of the so-called Galaxy Z Flip, showing a flip-flop-style folding screen design similar to the Moto Razr (2019).
After the image came to light, it caused some headlines, is the company planning to launch a number of folding screen smart machines this year?
Huawei, one of the competitors, has previously made it clear that the Mate Xs will be available in March 2020 as an upgraded version of the current generation of Mate X folding screen smartphones.
Later this year, the Chinese manufacturer also plans to launch another foldable-screen smartphone, but it is unclear what model or style it will be.
Speculation about the naming of the Galaxy Z is that the South Korean tech giant wants to open up a new line of folding-screen smartphones, after all, the arrival of the first-time Galaxy Fold is fraught with ups and downs.
If the new collection can be recognized by consumers, Samsung can turn the old story upside down as it would like. It remains to be seen which New Z-Series folding screen the company is developing.
In August 2019, LetsGoDigital reported a patent for the Samsung Z-type folding smartphone, but it was named for its shape.
The device features a bi-fold design that folds into a Z-shaped style of the spy photo that was exposed yesterday. In tablet mode, it is ideal for multitasking.
Samsung, however, seems unlikely to actually launch the device any time soon, after all, there are huge challenges to the durability of flexible screens. The Galaxy Fold is a model for the front car, not to mention the hardware cost of the Z-folded fold.
In addition to Samsung, Huawei Mate X and Moto Razr (2019) also failed to reach the original release date.
