Redesigned Android Firefox to open to Nightly channel users

In the past few months, Mozilla has released a new version of Firefox Preview on the Android platform. FirePreviewfox is Mozilla’s completely redesigned mobile browser that will replace the existing Android side Firefox. Starting tomorrow, Android Nightly’s Firefox users will experience the redesigned Firefox for the first time and will be open to Beta and Stable stable channels in the weeks and months ahead.

The new Firefox is based on the GeckoView engine and includes a complete new UI. After the redesign, Firefox Preview is smoother, faster than the existing Android Side Firefox, and provides consumers with better security controls similar to the desktop side.

But Firefox Preview is missing a core feature — support for extensions. Mozilla is actively committed to adding this feature to the browser, so it is expected to be available when it is upgraded to a Beta or stable channel. With the login Ofly channel, Mozilla will collect more user feedback and make improvements.
