Seattle voters will be the first U.S. voters to vote on smartphones

Voters in the Seattle area will be the first in the United States to vote on a smartphone,media reported. It has been learned that in the King Conservation district, each eligible voter in the area, including Greater Settle and more than 30 other cities, can use personal electronic devices to vote in the upcoming elections.

Voting will run from today to Election Day on 11 February. According to statistics, up to 1.2 million voters will participate in this historic election of the Supervisory Board.

Unfortunately, this is not as simple as simply turning to technology to increase turnout, because taking the technical route inevitably brings a new set of security concerns.
