According tomedia reports, BrandFinance , a British brand finance consultancy, has released the 2020 Global 500 Best Brand 500 Rankings. In the top 10, U.S. companies accounted for six seats, Chinese companies for three and South Korean companies for 1.
In first place was Amazon, which had a brand value of more than $220.7 billion, up 17.5 percent from last year, thanks to amazon’s expansion in cloud computing, streaming, consumer electronics and logistics.
In second place was Google, with brands valued at $159.7 billion, up 11.9 percent year-on-year, and Apple, with a brand value of $140.5 billion, down 8.5 percent year-on-year.
The 4th to 10th places are Microsoft ($117 billion), Samsung ($94.4 billion), ICBC ($80.7 billion), Facebook ($79.8 billion), Wal-Mart ($77.5 billion), Ping An ($69 billion) and Huawei ($65 billion).
Technology companies are the most valuable among the top 500 by industry, with 46 companies worth more than $986.5 billion, and U.S. companies are the most valuable by geography, with 205 companies worth more than $320.4 billion.
China has 70 companies in the top 500 with an 18.9 per cent share and a brand value of $133.4bn.
