Microsoft announced plans for a new office park in Mountain View, Silicon Valley, as early as the end of 2017, when it said it could be completed in December 2019 and be operational in two years. It’s January 2020, and although the campus isn’t yet open, the tech giant said in an official blog post today that it is now expected to be operational sometime this summer.
Microsoft’s latest location uses eco-friendly technology and is very community-focused and employee-centric aesthetic and functional, and provides office space for more than 2,000 experts in the San Francisco Bay Area, who are based in Hololens, Azure, Silicon, Teams and PowerPoint work. Not only has Microsoft expanded its physical operations in the United States, but it has recently opened a new office in Abu Dhabi and a flagship Microsoft store in London. Last year, the new Microsoft Technology Center opened in Sydney, Australia.
