Lenovo: Dozens of models of notebook USB-C problems, please upgrade the repair as soon as possible

If your Lenovo laptop has a USB Type-C port problem, you’re not an exception. Citing official support documents recently disclosed bymedia company Tom’s Guide, Lenovo has confirmed that dozens of models of laptops are affected by USB-C ports. Fortunately, however, the user only needs to install the fix to solve the problem simply.

Lenovo said it may experience problems after a “typical use” in June-December, and Lenovo said the affected laptops may exhibit symptoms:

THE USB-C port does not work properly

I don’t see the Intel Thunderbolt controller in the operating system/device manager

USB-C or Thunderbolt docks are not visible or have connectivity problems

HDMI output is not available

The system battery is not charged by the USB-C power adapter connected to the USB-C port

Intel Thunderbolt pops up error message

Intel Thunderbolt Safe Mode Error Message

BIOS Thunderbolt communication error or suspended during POST
