The research firm Counterpoint reported global smart machine shipments for the third quarter of 2019, ending a seven-month year-on-year decline on the back of rising demand. Total shipments for the quarter were 380 million units, an increase of 200,000 units over the same period last year. On the manufacturers’ side, Samsung shipped 78.4 million smartphones in the quarter, up 8.4% year-on-year and 20.6% of its share, while Huawei shipped 66.8 million smart phones in the quarter, up 28.5% year-on-year and 17.6% in the share.
Double 11 “Mobile Carnival Purchase”
Apple, OPPO and Xiaomi, respectively, shipped and shared slightly lower year-on-year, while 6 to 10 were Vivo, Realme, Motorola, LG and Tecno , with all other brands down except Realme (up 684%) and Telex.
As you can see, Huawei and Realme are the most eye-catching brands, regardless of total shipments, share, year-on-year growth.
