Coronavirus 2020-nCoV, a map that visualizes the locations and number of cases where such a new coronavirus infection has been confirmed in real time, has been released by the Center for Systems Science and Engineering (CSSE) at Johns Hopkins University.
fThe data source is based on the World Health Organization (WHO) and the American Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), china’s National Health and Health Commission (NHC), and china’s medical information site DXY.cn and are visualized on a map of the Open Street Map.
The point where a circle is drawn on the map is the area where the infection of the new coronavirus has been reported. The red circle indicates “cases where the infection was confirmed” and the yellow circle indicates “cases where the infection is suspected”, and the size of the circle is displayed large according to the number of cases.
You can zoom in and out of the map with the +/- icon at the bottom right of the map or by using the mouse wheel. If you look at the map, you can see that the infected area is concentrated in southern China, and that there are also slight cases of infection in Europe, the United States, and Australia.
Zoom to Japan, where the fourth person in Japan has been identified at the time of writing, and click on the red circle. Data showed that four confirmed infections, one of which recovered (Recovored) patients.
In Hong Kong, which has been shaken by pro-democracy demonstrations since March 2019, eight people have been confirmed to have been infected and 244 people are suspected of having been infected. The yellow circle is larger than the red circle, as if the infection has not been confirmed.
In Hubei Province, which is presumed to be the source of the new coronavirus outbreak, information was displayed that “1058 people have been confirmed infected and 42 have recovered, but 52 have died ( Death).”
