Bayer considers stopping sale of herbicides that may cause cancer to individuals

Bayer is considering stopping selling glyphosate-containing herbicides made by Monsanto to individual users, German newspaper Bild reported on Thursday, citing industry sources. The move is part of an out-of-court settlement that Bayer is currently negotiating with tens of thousands of plaintiffs in the United States, the report said. The plaintiffs blame Monsanto’s glyphosate herbicide sedatives for causing them to develop cancer.
