For the first time since the device was released in March 2019, Apple is today selling the third-generation iPad Air and fifth-generation iPad mini models in the U.S. for the first time. This offers a wider selection of refurbished iPad product lines, including configurations with Wi-Fi or LTE, 64GB or 256GB of storage, and space gray, gold or silver finishes. The price discount is about 15% compared to the new product of the same model.
Apple says the certified refurbished iPad model sits thoroughly inspected, tested, cleaned and repacked in the new white box, which includes all accessories and documentation. Each refurbished iPad comes with a new battery and a new case, almost unlike the new iPad.
Every refurbished iPad is covered by Apple’s standard one-year warranty from the date of delivery. The warranty can be extended to two years from the date of purchase of AppleCare Plus.
Choosing a certified refurbished iPad is a good opportunity to save a lot of money if you buy it for your own use, but on the other hand, iPad channel prices are not uniform and you can usually get better prices from dealers like Amazon and Best Buy.
