Microsoft has been testing phone location and call capabilities for the Your Phone app, and now everyone can use it,media reported. With the app, users can make calls from a Windows 10 pc and leave their Android phone in their pocket. If your Phone is not called, the user may need to re-download and install the app on the Microsoft Store.
Currently only Android users can use this call support feature, but due to iOS restrictions on third-party services, iPhones may never be supported.
Microsoft points out that only the Android phone is connected if the phone is within bluetooth range of the user’s computer. It’s worth noting that the phone will still be displayed on the user’s Android phone, but he will be able to control it and talk to the caller through the PC’s hardware.
This feature lets users reject calls, answer calls, send voice mail, or reply to caller text messages. The app will also sync the user’s call history and contacts, as well as the ability to open the dial-up interface in the app to call people with contacts without a protected number.
During a call, the user can exchange calls between the computer and the phone.
Your Phone Call Support is part of Microsoft’s effort to slowly migrate its services to Android, promising a good call experience, but ultimately quality depends on a number of things, including the Bluetooth adapter used on the device and its range.
In addition, Microsoft has updated the app to use the current background image of the phone on the navigation panel with the Acrylic filter touch of the Fluent Design system.
