Two weeks ago, it was announced that Samsung was working on a new Galaxy Watch. While it’s not clear whether it’s the Galaxy Watch 2 or the Galaxy Watch Active 3, internal sources say the internal storage capacity has been increased from 4GB to 8GB.
The news so far is that Samsung is working on a new smartwatch, models SM-R840/845 and SM-R850/855. There are two sizes to choose from and there should be the same 40mm and 44mm Galaxy Watch Active 2 for the user to choose from. There will also be a cellular version for each model. They will certainly support LTE.
Given Samsung’s current focus on 5G development, the upcoming smartwatch could become the world’s first 5G-enabled smartwatch. Samsung has confirmed that it will launch a new launch on February 11th, with the smartwatch expected in addition to the Galaxy Z Flip and Galaxy S20 series.
