Recently, statistical agency Counterpoint Research released the 2016-2019 high-end smartphone market share statistics in India, statistics show that the OnePlus overtook Samsung Apple as India’s high-end market NO.1. Data, which ranges smartphone selling for more than 30,000 rupees (about 2,900 yuan), show that shipments from India’s high-end handset market jumped 29% year-on-year to an all-time high in 2019.
Among them, OnePlus mobile phone shipments increased by 28% year-on-year, high-end handsets market share of more than 1/3, ultra-high-end market (priced above 45,000 rupees) in the OnePlus portfolio growth to 25%.
Samsung fell to second place, down 2 per cent year-on-year, but the good news is that in the ultra-high-end market, Samsung shipments are up 24 per cent year-on-year, with the share of ultra-high-end models in Samsung’s high-end products up to 79 per cent.
In third place was Apple, which increased shipments by 41% year-on-year and more than 20% as a result of multiple price cuts for the iPhone XR.
