SpaceX is developing the next generation of starships that can reach orbit , or even go beyond orbit , according tomedia CNET . To achieve this, SpaceX needs a lot of talent. On Tuesday, SpaceX founder Elon Musk sent out a global tweet inviting people interested in joining SpaceX to attend Starship Pro Day at the company’s research and development facility in Boca Chica, Texas.
Despite the public invitation, not everyone is eligible for the invitation. Musk clarified that the invitation was intended to schedule four production shifts for round-the-clock operations. Engineers, supervisors and support staff are also required.
Musk tweeted: “The idea of a super hard core, the talent to build things, common sense and integrity are necessary, and the rest of us can train.” “
A quick look at the vacancies on SpaceX’s hiring page suggests the need for a lot of talent, from crane operators to insulation building engineers in Texas.
Last year, SpaceX tested a starship prototype called Starhopper. This version was created for short-term test releases. The next generation of “starships” currently under construction will be aimed at orbit.
SpaceX documents filed with the FCC indicate that the company is considering a suborbital test as early as mid-March. The end date of operation continues into September, leaving a broad window for the launch. The time frame coincides with Musk’s goal of putting the Starship into orbit by 2020.
