The search box was unable to display any search results this morning due to server-side issues that caused windows Search failures for many users. After many users spit on the Reddit community, Microsoft’s support community and social networks, Microsoft admits that the problem does exist.

On February 5, user feedback running Windows 10 May 2019 (Version 1903) and November 2019 encountered a search feature. The main performance is search blank or black box, can not use the operating system built-in Windows Search features.

Microsoft says it has started fixing Windows Search issues, and most users have been addressed. In some cases, you may need to restart your device once, twice, or even three times, to restore Windows Search.

In a statement, Microsoft said: “Windows Search was affected by a third-party network fiber provider, which means that Windows Search services are unavailable on PCs due to an infrastructure failure.” Microsoft is reviewing its network redundancy options to prevent this issue from happening again.
