Google has developed several operating systems, such as Chrome OS, Android and Fuchsia. Android is currently the largest mobile operating system, dominating the global market. The latest news suggests that Google may be developing a new operating system. Google has filed a new trademark application with the USPTO, known as Pigweed, meaning it may be developing a new OS, Pigweed, 9to5 Google reported.
Google did not elaborate on the details of Pigweed. Butmedia have found that Pigweed has long since emerged.
The report noted that Google Pigweed first appeared in the Google-developed operating system Fuchsia code, in Google’s Chromium code base also found “Pigweed” traces.
But this does not prove that Google’s Pigweed operating system is linked to the Fuchsia and Chromium projects, and it is not possible to confirm the specifics of the operating system.
