Legendary investor Warren Buffett sees Elon Musk as a great entrepreneur, but doesn’t see Tesla as a good investor, according to Sun Yuchen, a Chinese digital cryptocurrency entrepreneur.
On January 23rd this year, Sun Yuchen finally realized his desire to have dinner with Buffett. Sun and four other advocates of digital cryptocurrencies reportedly met Buffett for more than three hours at the Happy Valley Club in His hometown, Omaha, Nebraska.
During the meal, Buffett shared his thoughts on Bitcoin, blockchain and Tesla. Buffett thinks Tesla CEO Elon Musk is a great entrepreneur, but doesn’t think Tesla is a good investor, according to Sun.
“Warren Buffett thought Elon Musk was a great entrepreneur, but he didn’t think Tesla was a good investment at the time,” Sun said. Because of the fierce competition in the auto industry, all of Tesla’s competitors have large cash reserves and will not exit easily. “
Buffett, by contrast, sees huge potential for blockchain. Many of the companies Mr Buffett has invested in are exploring this, including JP Morgan.
