At today’s China Radio Conference, Wang Zhiqin, vice president of the China Institute of Information and Communications Research, said in a speech that China has actively deployed 5G networks, which have now been built at 86,000 and are expected to exceed 130,000 by the end of the year. It is understood that the three operators had been scheduled to build 100,000 5G base stations by the end of the year, of which China Mobile plans to build 50,000.
China Tower also said it expected to receive 100,000 5G base stations from the three major operators.
In addition, mr Wang said that as of the third quarter of 2019, more than 30 countries around the world had implemented 5G frequency planning, with at least 10 of them completing commercial licensing of 5G frequencies in at least one frequency band.
At the same time, some countries are promoting 5G network frequency planning, China is also tracking the frequency of foreign 5G network, combined with domestic reality, research and development of 5G industry frequency policy.
