According tomedia reports, the world’s largest mobile trade show MWC has just suffered another blow — one of the event’s sponsors, graphics giant Nvita has just announced that they will not send staff to the event site, given the current severe outbreak of the new coronavirus.
It is reported that Yingwei reached the fourth partial or total withdrawal of 2020 MWC exhibitors, before Ericsson, LG and ZTE have also announced the withdrawal.
But Nvidia is different in that it is also one of the main sponsors of the conference and has partnered with the GSMA Conference organisers to host a roundtable of 10 meetings and around AI. It also plans to prepare an “Artificial Intelligence Edge Innovation Center” for those present, which will put people at the intersection of artificial intelligence, 5G and edge computing.
It is unclear whether these events and exhibitions will continue to be available, but it would be difficult without Nvidia’s staff.
“We’ve been looking forward to sharing our work with the industry on AI, 5G and vRAN. We regret not being able to attend, but believe it was the right decision. “
