Microsoft Launches New Windows 10 News APP Project Newsbar: Desktop News Sidebar

On February 10th,media discovered a brand new Microsoft APP, Project Newsbar, in the Windows 10 App Store. As its name suggests, this is a news app that opens a news sidebar that keeps Bing’s news coverage available. Sidebars are displayed in two ways, one by 20% of the screen and the other automatically hidden and displayed when the mouse is crossed out.

When you click on a news in the sidebar, the page opens in the default browser. Newsbar also supports automatic startup, stock subscriptions, and hidden 90 minutes.

Project Newsbar is currently in version 0.0.168, and although it can be seen in the Windwos 10 App Store, it is not available for download and interested users can patiently wait for the official release to come on the shelves.

Of course, in terms of efficiency should not be directly browsing the news site RSS subscription to the high, but after all, microsoft developed their own UWP software, availability should be guaranteed.
