According tomedia MSPoweruser, it has previously been reported that Samsung has targeted its Galaxy Z Flip as a woman, and its design was apparently inspired by Lancombe’s makeup look. Now, South Korean media MK.co.kr says Samsung is teaming up with high-end designer brand Thom Browne to launch the Galaxy Z Flip, which will retail for 3 million won (about $2,500). The regular version is expected to sell for about $1,500.
A few weeks ago, Thom Browne announced a partnership with Samsung in a short video posted through its official account.
Samsung has reportedly produced half a million Galaxy Z Flip phones and hopes to sell 2.5 million this year. Samsung will reportedly officially release the Galaxy Z Flip on February 11th, which will go on sale on Valentine’s Day, just three days after its official launch.
Samsung, which relies on its ultra-thin glass screen technology to stand out among its folding phone rivals, hopes to sell a total of 5m folding phones this year, including the new Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 with an 8-inch screen.
