Tesla, the electric car maker, accounted for more than 20% of the electric cars sold worldwide last year. According tomedia reports, in 2019, the world sold 2.21 million all-electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles, up 10% year-on-year. Of these, pure electric vehicles accounted for 74%, plug-in hybrid vehicles accounted for 26%.
In terms of the number and proportion of electric vehicles sold worldwide last year, about 1.6354 million electric vehicles were sold worldwide.
In the four quarters of 2019, Tesla delivered 63,000 electric vehicles, 952,000, 97,000 and 112,000 vehicles to consumers, respectively, for a total of 367,200 vehicles for the year.
Tesla delivered 367,200 vehicles a year and sold 1.6354 million vehicles worldwide, meaning it sold 22.45 percent of the world’s electric cars last year.
