Samsung Electronics has taken some new crown pneumonia precautions for its 2020 Unpacked launch in San Francisco,media reported. The company provided masks and hand sanitizers to those present, and posted a notice advising people to absorb and take other precautions.
Samsung also said it would deploy thermal cameras at the entrance on the day of the event to detect people with fever or who may be sick.
“To protect the health and well-being of participants, anyone with abnormal or extreme respiratory symptoms will be asked to consult with a medical supervisor at the scene,” Samsung said.
At Tuesday’s Unpakced launch. Samsung will showcase its latest phones — possibly the Galaxy S20 and The Galaxy Z Flip — in addition to the galaxy Buds Plus, a new generation of wireless headsets that could even bring the long-awaited Bixby smart speaker.
The incident comes amid concerns about the new corona virus. Over the past week, one company after another has announced its withdrawal from MWC 2020, the world’s largest mobile trade show, including Intel, Ericsson, Nvidia, Sony, Facebook, Cisco, Thunderbolt and more. As of Friday, the company still plans to attend MWC, according to people familiar with the matter.
