Twitter unveiled a plan Tuesday local time that will minimize the spread of misinformation about the 2020 census,media reported. “We have partnered with the U.S. Census Bureau to launch a new tool that will have a prompt to direct users to the official census website: http://2020Census.gov when someone searches for specific keywords related to the census,” the company wrote in a blog post.
Twitter says the census needs the importance of such a special plan.
It is reported that the feature will be available on all website platforms including Android and iOS.
Before Twitter, Facebook and Pinterest had announced their partnership with the U.S. Census Bureau to ban posts and ads containing false information.
