The iPad remains strong this time, according to The New Tablet Market Research Report from Strategy Analytics. Compared to the same period last year, iPad’s market share increased 4% to 10.1 million shipments in the third quarter of 2019. Tablet sales fell 4 percent, with only Apple, Amazon and Lenovo seeing growth.
In September, Apple released a lower-priced iPad with a 10.2-inch display and a smart keyboard for $329. In addition to this low-cost iPad, the iPad Pro line is also selling better.
The new iPad Pro has been released for more than a year, and Apple hasn’t updated its Pro product line this year. The second-largest market share was Amazon, with 5.3 million shipments.
