If your vehicle is already equipped with Android Auto, you may have noticed a quick preview of the local weather conditions during the use of the system. Last week, a succession of users began to notice the return of the feature, and the platform status bar displayed as two small weather icons, respectively, weather conditions and current temperatures.
But Android Auto doesn’t provide complete weather forecast information, but allows drivers to learn more about the weather from their phones while not driving. Early last year, Google made a major product upgrade to Android Auto, introducing Dark mode and improving media controls and other popular features. However, the biggest drawback is that the weather control feature disappears during this time. As a result, drivers cannot easily see the current weather at their specific location.
Google has re-added the weather forecast to Android Auto, which is located near temperature, connection and phone charge, media outlet Android Police reported. For example, if it’s sunny, the user will see a sun icon. If it’s cloudy, the user will see a cloud icon. Users also reported seeing weather icons with rain and snow.
