Twitter has launched a new feature to track specific topics, called Topics, according to foreign media. Twitter confirmed that the feature will be released this week and will be available worldwide on November 13. It has been learned that the feature will allow users to follow over 300 interesting areas like a personal Twitter account.
Twitter promises that the tweets users see on the timeline in the future will all come from trusted accounts.
But one theme that is said to be not included in the first Topics is politics. Twitter said last week that it would stop selling ads on political issues such as campaigning, election or climate crisis and immigration. Jack Dorsey, the company’s CEO, argues that the spread of political information should allow users to do so by following an account or sharing a tweet, rather than through advertising.
This year, Twitter has focused on developing new features to make it easier for users to find what they want and control their own experiences on social media platforms.
