Chrome will soon be able to let users choose passwords they don’t want to sync

Google Chrome has allowed users to sync passwords when they log on to google accounts, but in future updates, browsers will provide additional options for users to choose more specificpasswords that they want to store on Google accounts, according tomedia. In other words, the user will be able to choose a password that they do not want to leave the device.

One of these features is the use of badges that will appear on the settings screen. It is understood that the badge will only be displayed after the EnablePasswordAccountStorage feature (path: chrome:/#passwords-account-storage) and the user

Further information shows that Google Chrome will allow users to choose where to save each password, and a dedicated icon displayed next to each password will help determine whether the passwords are saved on the device or in the cloud.

It’s unclear when the new features will be pushed to production, but it could be tested in early deployments to Chrome Canary later this year.
