Microsoft tweeted today that it will hold the Mixed Reality Developer Conference in Redmond from May 16-17, 2020. Media speculated that the contentof of the conference may have been originally planned to be announced at the MWC 2020 conference, but was affected by the outbreak and forced to cancel. Microsoft also said it would launch a tour in Japan and Germany, but a date has not been set.
Microsoft is scheduled to host an enterprise-oriented Mixed Reality event at MWC 2020 to deliver a more immersive mixed-reality experience through the latest technologies such as Azure Edge Computing and the Internet of Things. Microsoft is reportedly struggling to keep up with demand for Hololens 2, which appears to have been commercially and militaryly successful, suggesting that some developers may find a wealth of experience supporting the technology.
