Tuhao players will soon have the top SSD hard drives available, and on February 19th TSE announced that the AORUS Gen4 AIC SSD 8TB drive was on the market. The hard drive was released last September, after Gigabyte already had a PCIe 4.0 technology AORUS hard drive, which is special in the 8TB super-capacity, 15GB/s ultra-high performance.
Aorus Gen4 AIC SSD 8TB is not a single SSD drive, but a RAID 0 array of four 2TB M.2 hard drives, which uses the group PS5016-E16 master, Toshiba 3D TLC flash memory, and 2GB DDR4 cache.
Such a high-performance hard drive heat will not be low, so Gigabyte designed an active heat sink, composed of 5cm double ball bearing fan, 5.5mm pure copper heat pipe, etc., used to suppress the entire hard drive up to 35W power consumption.
In terms of performance, Gigabyte says the Aorus Gen4 AIC SSD 8TB drive can read and write at 15GB/s, but no 4K random performance is announced.
The Aorus Gen4 AIC SSD 8TB drive offers a five-year warranty and 3600TBdata life, the exact price has yet to be announced.
