Today (February 19) developer R Star updated the Steam Store page of GTA 4 to announce that the work will return to the Steam platform on March 19 and meet with players in a new “full version” gesture.
According to the R Star Official Announcement, “GTA 4: Full Edition” will replace the “GTA 4” and “GTA: The Chapter of Free City” version, and players in the original game of the preservation of files will also be available in “GTA 4: Full Edition.” However, it is important to note that after this update, Windows Live games, multiplayer mode, leaderboards, and some radio stations will no longer support GTA 4: Full, and players with the original game on the Steam platform can download the original game again or get a new version through an update patch.
In addition, players who previously activated GTA 4 through Windows Live will need to associate the game to their Rockstar Club account, and the GTA 4: Full Edition above can also be purchased on the R-Star platform. On January 11th GTA 4 was temporarily released from the Steam platform for the activation of Windows Live, and two months later the acclaimed game is finally back in Steam’s arms.
