“Flower Magnolia” becomes Disney’s first live-action film rated PG-13

Disney’s live-action version of Magnolia has a PG-13 rating in the U.S. because of some violent images — content may not be suitable for teenagers, media reported. It was learned that this was the first time Disney had received the rating. “Flower Magnolia” is Disney’s new live-action film after Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, The Lion King and Cinderella, and will be followed by a live-action film for The Little Mermaid.

Over the next three years, the company will produce four, five and six live-action films, which Disney has not disclosed.

“Flower Magnolia” tells the story of a magnolia father who has been in the army, and the film will be released in theaters March 27. Unlike animated movies, the mythical character of Xiaolong Mushou will not appear in the live version.
