On Wednesday, SpaceX CEO Elon Musk released a video of the company’s Boca Chica plant in Texas showing a large number of rocket nose cones at different stages of construction, media reported.
Early starship hopper prototypes have created a pair of short controlled hops in Boca Chica, near South Padre Island. Recently, the small spacecraft rose to a maximum altitude of about 492 feet (150 meters). The next iteration of the design, called SN1, could be a test flight as early as March, at an altitude of about 12.4 miles (20 kilometers).
Now, SN1 is being used in the outdoor building of the Boca Chica plant and its nose cone has been installed, so it may be producing a nose cone for the upcoming Starship.
