Officials are back on the scene again about the much-anticipated PlayStation 5 console. ‘It’s particularly optimistic that we’ve learned from developers and publishers that they can easily run code on PlayStation 5,’ Jim Ryan, CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment, said in an interview with GI. This is far better than previous experiences on any other PlayStation platforms.
In the same interview, Ryan also talked about the entire PlayStation family. He points out that the smooth transition from PlayStation 4 to PlayStation 5 is something Sony has never tried before.
This may be a subtle hint that the PlayStation 5 will have excellent, wide-ranging backward compatibility, and 100% is to be expected.
Recently, Yves Guillemot, Ubisoft’s chief executive, also talked about the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Scarlett consoles, confirming that they have several games under development and will take full advantage of the new features, with faster game downloads and higher game frame rates.
The Sony PS5 console is scheduled to go on sale by the end of next year.
