Starting this week, Google has been contacting ticket holders for the 2020 I/O Conference to send them an entry fee payment notice for the average audience of $1,150 and academic staff at $375. Under the influence of the new corona virus, Google also gave a special instruction to allow all I/O registration participants to cancel at any time by April 15, 2020 without fear of financial loss.
Google said it would release a schedule and a list of preliminary meetings in the coming weeks and inform attendees. But the final details will be determined by the time of the official may 12.
Unlike Google’s business as usual, Facebook’s F8 developer conference, also held in May, was canceled.
As originally planned, the F8 Developerconference Conference will be held on May 5 and 6 at the San Jose McEnnie Convention Center.
Facebook said it would interact with developers around the world via video and live content events after canceling the F8 offline event, though it has not given details of the viewing.
