Two weeks ago, Facebook announced that it would remove UWP clients from the Windows 10 Store. With this official arrival, we can no longer download the app through the Microsoft Store. Both the official and beta Facebook UWP clients were completely retired on February 28, 2020.
In an earlier announcement, the Facebook team apologized and thanked the veteran customers for their support.
When the UWP client is deactivated, Windows 10 users can still access and sign in to the Facebook master site through their browser.
But for the best experience, make sure you have the latest version of the supported browser , including Microsoft’s Chromium Edge.
The social giant recently released a larger update to the Messenger app, leaving the outside world confused about the company’s Windows 10 platform policy.
If you really don’t want to install a Facebook Messenger client in the Microsoft Store, you can also access the Messenger website through your browser for instant messaging with your friends.
