According to an email sent to a job seeker by the Google Staffing team, all future job seekers around the world will be transferred to Google Hangouts or Blue Jeans, as a result of the new coronavirus outbreak.
“Given the global ravages of COVID-19 to better protect the health of candidates and interviewers, we will conduct interviews worldwide through Google Hangout, which will be used in some countries using Blue Jeans,” the email read. “
Google is not the first company to cancel an on-site interview in light of the worsening outbreak of the new corona virus. On Monday, Facebook said it would cancel most face-to-face job interviews, while Amazon suspended live job interviews indefinitely last week.
