Finland’s Nokia Oyj said on Thursday it had partnered with Intel to accelerate its slow 5G transformation to date. A day earlier, the company had announced a similar agreement with Marvel Technology.
Nokia’s Reefshark chip system (SoC) has been developing more slowly than expected, putting the company in a bind. SoC allows a single chip to carry the entire computer system, allowing Nokia to produce at a cheaper price.
